Meeting of YES Network for Georgian-Azerbaijani cross-border cooperation and cultural tour
Garb-Resurs VCID PU organized the last meeting of “YES” Young Entrepreneurs Synergy Network on March 5 in Gazakh region. The training was conducted jointly with the Georgian partner Civil Development Agency (CIDA) in the framework of the project "Young Entrepreneurship Synergy - a network for cross-border cooperation" funded by the EU and GDR - MF and implemented under the Eastern Partnership (EaPTC). The training was attended by 22 entrepreneurs and representatives of the Working Group from Gazakh and Agstafa regions of Azerbaijan and Gardabani and Sagarejo regions of Georgia. The training was conducted by Emin Huseynzadeh, Medialog-Leading Consultant, who spoke about the use of online tools for online collaboration and cross-border collaboration. During the training, the YES network was taught the rules of proper use of online tools to continue cross-border economic cooperation and memorized with interactive games.
Another leading expert of the day, Tofig Sadikhov, conducted a training on Personal Development Trainer Gender Equality. The training was conducted in an interactive, group and individual format. Participants learned about the concept of gender, gender equality in Azerbaijan, gender-based violence and ways to combat it.
After the training, Tuesday - Novruz festivities were organized for the participants - Kosa-Kechel performance, egg-laying, national dances, jumping over the bonfire and a festive table.
The next day, March 6, West-Resource PU - YES Network organized a cultural tour to Shamkir, Khanlar and Goygol districts. During the tour, participants visited German homes, churches, and the State Museum in the Shamkir region. They got acquainted with the ancient Albanian church in Khanlar district. And at the end of the tour, they enjoyed the world-famous Goygol Lake.
We would like to note that the Eastern Partnership (EaPTC) Program provides an opportunity for EaPTC Eastern Partnership countries to identify and jointly address common challenges for sustainable economic and social development in their border areas at the local level.
